FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

Why DRIVE2.CITY Routeplanner?

A green sticker on your windshield is no longer a guarantee that you'll be allowed to drive through any low emission zone. Many cities have recently had to revise their low emission zone schemes and came up with new driving bans. With DRIVE2.CITY, you have the latest and most accurate information about low emission zones and driving bans, and get routes perfectly tailored to your vehicle - directly based on its exhaust emission specifications. This will help you avoid any unexpected surprises, especially when driving abroad.

No Subscription Plans - Only Fixed Duration Packages

No, there are no subscription plans to worry about. Both packages have a fixed term so you are in complete control of your spending. There's no need to worry about automatic renewals or additional charges once your chosen period is up. Your card will only be charged at the beginning.

Who is Stripe?

Stripe is a trusted and secure payment processing platform that DRIVE2.CITY uses to handle and process payments made by our customers. At DRIVE2.CITY, we take security seriously and that's why we use Stripe's professional solution to ensure the safety of your payment information. It's important to note that DRIVE2.CITY does not store any of your card information. Everything is securely processed through Stripe's platform, giving you peace of mind while using our service.

Datasets used by Routeplanner

Our routing engine is powered by open-data resources provided by municipalities and licensed under CC-BY open licence. However, what sets us apart is the level of pre-processing we do on this data to ensure maximum accuracy. We take great care in processing every aspect of LEZ data, including crossroads, traffic roundabouts, and other key elements that are crucial for correct routing. This pre-processing ensures that our routing engine provides the most accurate and efficient routes for our users.

What types of vehicles are supported?

At the moment, DRIVE2.CITY primarily supports private personal vehicles with diesel engines weighing up to 3.5 tons (M1 Category). Please note that commercial vehicles may be subject to different requirements and regulations that are often stricter than those for normal private vehicles.
