Low-Emission Zone Nice (France)

Nice (Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur):
The deployment of the ZFE-m (Low Emission Zone) in Nice is scheduled in 3 phases. From January 2022, the dirtiest lorries and buses are banned. In 2023, private cars will be included, starting with a ban on Crit'Air 5 vehicles. This year, the ban on lorries and buses will also be extended to include Crit'Air 4 vehicles. Next year, in the final stage, all Crit'Air 4 vehicles will be banned along with category 3, 4 and 5 for lorries and buses. These measures are in force 24 hours a day.

  • Crit'Air based on the weight category

notes:

  • all vehicles entering the LEZ need to have a visible sticker
  • german emission stickers (feinstaubplakette) are not recognized
  • parking fees may be differentiated depending on the impact of vehicles on air pollution
  • the penalty vary between 68-135€ (depending on the vehicle category)
  • Attention: For light commercial vehicles and vehicles over 3.5 tonnes, stricter driving bans apply in some cases.
