Low-Emission Zone London (Great Britain)

London (The capital city):
London aims to reduce the negative impacts of high levels of congestion through a range of restriction measures. Unless your vehicle meets the required standards, the (U)LEZ daily charge is applicable. The London-wide Low Emission Zone (LEZ) applies only to commercial vehicles (trucks, vans and buses). The Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) also affects private vehicles. From 29/09/2023, the ULEZ extends to cover the whole of London! It now covers the same area as the LEZ.

• The ULEZ is now in operation across the whole of London. The M25 is not included. LEZ and ULEZ now cover the same area - see grey section!

Oldtimers (40+ years)

• all vehicles registered for the historic vehicle tax class and older than 40 years are exempt from the ULEZ, non-UK registered vehicles need a registration

Campers and Motorhomes

• ULEZ charge based on the weight category

Congestion Charge (CC)

• affects all vehicles, all vehicles charged
• Central London area, ANPR
