Freiburg (Baden-Württemberg):
Large parts of the city belong to the the low emission zone (included the B31/31A). Only cars labelled with a sticker are allowed to enter. Alternatively, the Park+Ride system with free parking is offered. The main industrial parks, the airport and the Messe stay outside the zone.

- the following types are in general exempted from the LEZ: oldtimers, military vehicles, motorcycles, ambulance and emergency vehicles, work machines, vehicles driven by/or carrying disabled persons
notes:
- all vehicles (including EV, gas, hydrogen or foreign) entering the LEZ need to have a visible sticker
- the penalty for enetring a LEZ without a sticker is €80 + an administrative fee around €25
- the common framework for the german LEZs is regulated by the national laws 35. BImSchV and 39. BImSchV
- also older diesel vehicles can obtain the green sticker by installing the certificated retrofit kit
