Frankfurt a.M. (Hessen):
The entire city of Frankfurt am Main is the low emission zone (see also the other districts). Only cars labelled with a sticker are allowed to enter this area. The "Autobahnring" (A5, A3, A661) is not the part of the zone. In order to reach the city center in an alternative way, the P+R system is available.

Other exemptions
- the following types are in general exempted from the LEZ: oldtimers, military vehicles, motorcycles, ambulance and emergency vehicles, work machines, vehicles driven by/or carrying disabled persons
notes:
- all vehicles (including EV, gas, hydrogen or foreign) entering the LEZ need to have a visible sticker
- the penalty for enetring a LEZ without a sticker is €80 + an administrative fee around €25
- the common framework for the german LEZs is regulated by the national laws 35. BImSchV and 39. BImSchV
- also older diesel vehicles can obtain the green sticker by installing the certificated retrofit kit
