Low-Emission Zone Bristol (Great Britain)

Bristol's Clean Air Zone is a Type D zone, which means that private car owners are also affected. The objective of the CAZ is to reduce the levels of nitrogen dioxide in the city centre in order to improve the quality of the air. A daily charge is imposed on vehicle owners entering the CAZ area if their vehicles are not fitted with the most advanced De-NOx systems.

Enforcement of the CAZ

• Non-compliant vehicles will be charged a daily-fee if they drive into the CAZ. Check you registration before driving - see the following links

notes:

• the CAZ area is monitored by Automatic Number Plate Recognition cameras (ANPR)
• the CAZ restrictions apply also to foreign vehicles
• vehicles that do not meet the required emission standards may continue to operate within the CAZ after paying the daily-charge
• the daily fee can be paid six days in advance, on the day of travel or six days after the day of travel
